Two Cards

I have two totally different cards to show you today. These are the cards I prepared for the December and January Virtual Card Club card kits.

This card CELEBRATES! It is full of bright, cheerful colors and lots of fun elements.

The two pieces of cake are hand cut. The upper one is glued directly onto the card and the bottom one is popped up off of the card with pop dots.

Here is the inside of the card:

This card is BRIGHT! The second card I have to show you is very subtle and features neutral colors.

Look closely and you'll see three very dainty pearls just below the "you" in the sentiment.

The cording is not baker's twine. Instead it is the Baker's Cording that is featured in the Valentine mini catalog. The Baker's Cording is heavier than baker's twine.

I used Seattle ink to stamp the distressed look onto the card (it's the Screenprint Background stamp). Then I used Versafine Onyx Black to stamp the image and sentiments.

Here is the inside of the card:

Image & Sentiment: A Very Merry Unbirthday (p. 67 of the 2012 A Muse catalog)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (p. 139 of the 2012 A Muse Catalog) and Copic Markers

  1. Well now, aren't these both just great cards?!!
I love all the colors and design elements on the first card. Great idea to pop up the second piece of cake. Love the inside sentiment too!

The second card is wonderful. You're right, it's subtle and understated but classy and has a dignity to it. Then there's the unexpected fun sentiment on the inside that really sparks a smile!

    Thanks for the inspiration!
