Buttercup Thank You

I love ribbon... wide ribbon, narrow ribbon, bold ribbon, subtle ribbon. I love ALL kinds of ribbon. So naturally, I ordered some of the A Muse Silky Crush Ribbon - in more than one color. ;) It is absolutely gorgeous!!!

I wanted to make that lovely ribbon the focal point of a card, so that's what I did with the card for my A Muse Virtual Card Club kit.

Here is the card:

Isn't that ribbon amazing!?!?!?

Inside I used a touch of the designer paper and a simple sentiment. I went with Thank You, since I figured we all have a thank you note or two to send since the holidays are almost here.

It's such a fun card!

Autumn Blessings

I think Autumn is a beautiful time of year! I love the colors, the smells, and so much more. So when I started thinking about what kind of card to make for the AMuse Virtual Card Club card kits, I decided it needed to be an autumn card.

Autumn Blessings

I love the wide AMuse French Roast Twill (ribbon). It's the first time I've used it and was so pleased with how rich and lovely it is.

Here's the inside of the card:

I hope the ladies will like making the card when their kit arrives.

Maxi Hold

I really enjoy the A Muse Virtual Card Club that I host. Each month I have the opportunity to design a card, create card kits and mail them out to the participants in the club. How fun is that!?!?!?

Virtual Card Club members agree to purchase a minimum of $25 of A Muse products each month for six consecutive months. In return, they receive FREE of charge, an A Muse catalog, plus the card kit each month.... and after their 6 month commitment, they also receive $25 of free A Muse merchandise of their choice. How cool is that!?!?!?

If you're interested in joining the A Muse Virtual Card Club, or would just like more information, please send me an email - imn2wmu@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Oh! And for those of you who don't want to be a part of the A Muse Virtual Card Club, but would like to receive the card kits, for a nominal fee, that can be arranged, too. ;)

I am so excited to show you this month's card - the kits are now on their way to the A Muse Virtual Card Club members' homes, so it's time to show you the card I designed for them.

This card features the Glamour Girl stamp set - the image and sentiments all come from it. There are actually 13 stamps in this set, including lipstick, nail polish, a compact, etc. It's such a fun set.

One of the things I'm most excited about with this card is the hearts. They are actually die cut (black cardstock) using two A Muse Dies. Simply lay the two dies side by side and it cuts a fun little row of hearts. What dies are they? The Pinking Border Die (use the largest one of the three) and the Scallop Border Die (use the middle size one of the three). Isn't that just too clever!?!?!?!?

The designer paper I used for this card is such a gorgeous color - it's called Bermuda. Of course I had to use just a tad bit of it on the image, too (I stamped it on a little scrap and the recipients will cut it out and paper piece onto the image... easy peasy!)

It doesn't show up well in the pictures, but I used a Copic Spica Pen (clear) to add a bit of sparkle to the spray marks of the hairspray. It's also available at A Muse.

The ribbon is an  beautiful sheer polka dot ribbon with black edges. Again, it's an A Muse product, as are the pearls.

Oh... and look at the inside of the card:

You look fabulous!

Frankly, My Dear...

I went on a trip in June, so we didn't have the Virtual Card Club that month. I don't know about the ladies in the club, but I was really happy to have a reason to create, as well as the opportunity to shop. ;)

Here's the card I created for the Virtual Card Club kit this month:

I used a quote on the inside:

I hope the card club members will like the kit.

I'm traveling again - and forgot to bring my A Muse catalog with me, so please forgive me that I can't show you page numbers for the products like I usually do.

Every Path Has Its Puddle

The orders have been shipped to my Virtual Card Club, along with the kits to make this month's card. I hope the ladies will like the card I've designed for them this month. It features some really awesome A Muse products.

Here it is:

I wanted to show the ladies how nicely the A Muse inks emboss. It doesn't show up very well in the pictures, but I simply inked the stamps and then added clear embossing powder, which I heated. No extra care is needed; no versamark ink. The clear embossing powder allows the A Muse ink color to shine through.

I also wanted the club members to get their hands on the A Muse Silky Crush Ribbon. It is gorgeous, as you can see in the picture... but it also FEELS wonderful and is so easy to use.

And I love love LOVE the A Muse cloud dies. They are such fun to layer on a card. I dabbed a wee bit of the ink on the edges of them to give them some rainy depth.

I also added some A Muse blue Twinkle Stickers to give the effect of raindrops just below the umbrella image and a trio of the blue Twinkle Stickers on the sentiment strip. They are a great touch.

I absolutely love the cloudy designer paper, too!!! I even had to add a touch of it to the inside of the card.

If you'd like to join my A Muse Virtual Card Club to receive kits to make cards as well as a free A Muse catalog, send me an email and I'll tell you all about it. My email address is imn2wmu@yahoo.com

Thanks for checking out my blog!

Extra! Extra!

Read all about it!

I've been quite sick - and therefore am running late on many things. My sincerest apologies!!!

So, today's post is actually showing the card made for my Virtual Card Club in April. The kits are heading toward the Virtual Card Club members now so it's time to reveal the card.

Here it is:

One of the members of the group asked about the A Muse Washi Tape, and since I've never used Washi Tape before, I thought I'd include some on this month's card. I will admit, my use of it is not clever, creative, or inspirational... but I did manage to use it. LOL! I'm going to do some research and play more with it in the future, so hopefully I'll have something better to show you with Washi Tape soon.

I used Kraft paper for the card because I thought it gave a newspaper feel to this fun stamp set called ahhnouncing. It is one of my favorites in the current A Muse catalog.

For the black ink, I used the Versafine Onyx Black ink pad (sold by A Muse). I normally use Memento ink if I'm coloring images with Copics, but my black of choice when I'm not going to be coloring, is the Versafine. It stamps beautifully, with a nice rich and full coverage. DON'T USE IT WITH COPICS, though!

Here are some more pictures of the card (inside and out):

As always, if you're interested in joining the Virtual Card Club, email me at imn2wmu@yahoo.com and we'll talk about the possibilities.

The Flight of the Butterfly

This past few weeks have been exciting. I opened an A Muse Virtual Card Club. I sent invitations (emails) to most of my online stamping friends, scattered all over the United States and invited them to join me. In this Virtual Card Club, each member agrees to purchase a minimum of $25 of A Muse products from me each month for 6 months. When they've purchased their 6 months of products they receive $25 in free A Muse products of their choice.

Each month, when I receive their merchandise and ship it to them, they also get a card kit. They can view the card here on my blog and put the card together in the convenience of their own craft space. The only thing they need to supply is the adhesive.

This is the first month, so this is the first card...

To create the leaves on the gold paper, I stamped the image on the right side and then stamped the leaves on the left side without reinking the stamp to give it a lighter color.

In this close up picture, you can see that the butterfly (which is an A Muse die) is layered. The top layer (smaller butterfly) is only attached at the body. Once the adhesive is dried, the wings are gently lifted up to give the butterfly some dimension.

I like to put something inside my cards, too. Here's a sneak peek...

... and here's the inside of the card

Easter Eggs in the Grass

Melina, an online friend of mine, recently posted a picture of a card she had made using a negative punch (oval) to create Easter eggs in a grassy spot. I loved her card! Take a peek at it here.

Sooooooooooo... I got to thinking. I could use my A Muse grass die and create a similar card. I like how it turned out.

Happy Easter!
